Canada welcomed 31,245 immigrants in OctoberAccording to the official figures by IRCC, in October 2019, Canada welcomed 31,245 immigrants, 4,295 less than in September. Among the new permanent residents, 11,815 were foreign skilled workers; 6.570 immigrants nominated by the provincial programs; 305 business immigrants (including self-employed, entrepreneurs, investors, and others), 5,560 sponsored spouses, 1,470 sponsored parents and grandparents, 335 sponsored children, and 4,430 refugees and protected persons. As of October 31, 2019, Canada welcomed 295,205 immigrants.
