In 2021, Ontario already nominated 693 foreign nationals

 

On January 15, 2021, Ontario published the first figures on the issuance of nomination certificates in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). As of January 14, the OINP issued 693 certificates of nomination. Last year, Ontario was allocated a quota of 7,600 candidates, which also included 250 persons under the federal NOC C initiative. In late 2020, OINP received additional 400 nominations and an extra 50 nominations under the federal NOC C initiative. In total, OINP nominated 8,050 candidates in 2020. The Ontario nominations allocation for 2021 will be published later this year.
