IRCC updated instruction regarding duration and extensions for AIPP work permits

On January 15, 2021, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) published a new program delivery update regarding Work Permits duration under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP).  According to the updated instruction, the duration of the work permit will now begin from the date of the decision. Should the worker need to extend the work permit, the application must include a new referral letter, issued by the provincial government. However, if the candidate has submitted a PR application within 90 days of the initial work permit, the new referral letter is not required.
