New international students from South Korea to Canada have increased for four years in a row since 2015. According to IRCC, 16,895 Korean international students came to Canada in 2018, an increase from 16,710 in 2017, and 14,740 in 2015. While India sent the greatest number, with 107,255 new international students to Canada in 2018, followed by China (85,290), South Korea was ranked the third country. Experts said that relatively cheaper living expenses and social hospitality to newcomers seem to attract more international students.
