Ontario announced a new intake in the Regional Immigration Pilot

 

On January 18, 2021, the government of Ontario announced a new intake in the Regional Immigration Pilot in the framework of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). In 2021, Ontario will issue 150 nominations in the Regional Immigration Pilot. This provincial initiative is intended at attracting immigrants to remote and rural parts of the province. The pilot was launched in 2020 and in the first year, OINP nominated 150 candidates. Currently, there are three communities accepted in the program: Chatham-Kent, Cornwall, and Quinte West/Belleville.
