Ontario nominated 7,819 foreign nationals in 2020


On December 10, 2020, the government of Ontario released new statistics on the issuance of the provincial nominations in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Since the previous update on November 12, Ontario issued 605 nominations. Initially, Ontario was allocated a quota of 7,600 candidates this year, which also includes 250 persons under the federal NOC C initiative. Now OINP announced that it has received additional 400 nominations plus an extra 50 nominations under the federal NOC C initiative. This means OINP can nominate 8,050 candidates in 2020 and still can issue 231 nominations.
