The parental sponsorship application intake process will begin in January. However, whether applications will be accepted through an online process or as paper applications is not yet clear. It is expected that due to backlash over the online application process, paper applications may be accepted. Those wishing to sponsor their parents or grandparents must start preparing their applications now. They must also get their income eligibility assessed to qualify as sponsors and get the related documents and evidence ready.
