The Provincial Nominee Program is one of the ways to obtain a Canadian permanent residency, at MCIS we provide you with all you need in order to apply for this class. Quebec has a special agreement with the Government of Canada on immigration. The province has its own rules for choosing immigrants who will adapt well to living there.

To apply as a skilled worker in Quebec, you must:

  • Apply to the Quebec government for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ), then
  • Apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to become a permanent resident of Canada. 

To qualify for a Quebec Selection Certificate, Skilled Worker / Professional applicants must score enough points under the Quebec Immigration selection system below. A single applicant must score at least 49 points based on the criteria below. An applicant with a spouse or common-law/conjugal partner must score at least 57 points.

Up to an additional 6 points may be awarded upon the interview for Adaptability. With these points awarded, a single applicant must score a minimum of 55 points. An applicant with a spouse or common-law/conjugal partner must score at least 63 points.

Points are awarded for a variety of attributes, including but not limited to: work experience, education, language proficiency, age, and adaptability. In addition, the program will accept a maximum of 6,500 applications from skilled workers with no job offer. As of Monday, April 14, approximately 800 applications have already been received.
